Stranded. Bearded. Mildly armed.

BOGGED drops you on an island nobody has seen before, with a club, a bone in your hair and, if you're lucky, a few friends. Days are for gathering, crafting and building. Nights are for holding the walls while everything on the island comes to see what you built. Last long enough to fix the shipwreck and sail off. Or don't, and wash up on a brand-new island next run.

Chop. Mine. Eat something.

Every tree, rock and berry bush on the island is yours to take. Start with a stone axe and work your way up through iron, mithril and gold to ores you can only pry out of a boss. Hunt, cook, farm. An empty stomach makes for a short run.

Build it together

Walls snap to a grid, so corners meet and rooms close. Drag out a whole wall in one go, stack floors into storeys and put a roof on top. Then add the fun part: spike traps, boom barrels, arrow turrets and a bell that rings when company arrives.

Ooga. Unga. Bunga.

Three-hit combos, charged swings, perfect parries, flying kicks and a plunge from the sky that bonks whatever is underneath. Every hit lands with a freeze-frame and a shout. Chain enough of them and your caveman starts yelling for you.

Then the sun goes down

A day lasts six minutes. Then the monsters come, and every night brings more of them. Torches keep them back, walls slow them down, traps and towers do the rest. Nobody likes to talk about night ten.

Bosses the size of your house

Gronk the Goblin King calls in his whole mob when he starts losing. Big Chunk is a walking mountain that breaks into three when you crack it. There's also a giant eye in the night sky and a hen in hair curlers. Bring friends.

Up to ten cavemen

Host a room, share the six-character code, and your friends wash up on the same island. Tame a cow and ride it into battle. Ping the loot, spam the emote wheel, or hold V and yell. Voice chat carries as far as your voice would.

The island in numbers

Every run starts on a new one. This is roughly what you're in for.

  • 1.9km

    Of island per run

Bays, lakes, forests, a mountain, and a temple you weren't meant to find. Never the same twice.

  • 10

    Players per room

Or just you, offline. Night waves and boss health scale with the crowd.

  • 20

    Kinds of monsters

Goblins, wolves, disco crabs, haunted flip-flops. And that's before the bosses show up.

  • 6

    Bosses

From a goblin king with a spiked club to a mother hen with exploding eggs.

Meet the locals

Some of them crawled out of Indonesian ghost stories. One of them crawled out of a bug report. None of them are friendly.

Watch it move

Captured straight from the game. No pre-rendered shots, no mock-ups.

Questions

What kind of game is BOGGED?

A co-op survival roguelike. You wash up on a new island every run, gather and craft during the day, build a base and defend it from monster waves at night. Beat the bosses, repair the shipwreck and sail away to win. Die, and the run is over.

How many people can play together?

One to ten. Play solo offline, or host a room online and share its six-character invite code. Rooms can be public or private, with a password and a difficulty of your choice. LAN and direct IP work too. Night waves and bosses scale with the number of players.

What happens when I die?

Solo, the run ends and you get a recap, but unlocked skins, the starting kit and your Bog Journal carry over. In co-op you leave a grave and a teammate can revive you by holding E on it; everyone still down comes back at dawn. If the whole room goes down at once, the island takes back half or more of your base.

Is there voice chat?

Yes. Hold V for push-to-talk proximity voice, so the people near you hear you loudest. There are also pings, an emote wheel and text chat for quieter cavemen.

Which platforms is BOGGED coming to, and when?

BOGGED is being made for Windows PC. There is no release date yet. The store page and the date will be announced on this site first.
